2/15/09 Some miscellaneous work going on around the resort this month

The exterior work on the trial 2nd bedroom window conversion continues.

Interior side is close to completion

One of the key rules the CPR Board has followed since the failed renovation of 2000 has been to properly plan, fund and monitor any projects undertaken. As part of that approach we try, whenever possible, to make any new work fit in with the original resort design.

An example of that is the addition of decorative fence posts to the new fencing around the recreation/picnic area. These match the original posts that surround the pool and some sections of the entrance road. By bringing in that element it makes the look of the all new area appear to be part of the original resort design rather than a later add-on. The caps were actually saved from posts removed during the construction of the RALPH building so we are also doing our part to recycle construction debris.

Another critical part of the process is making sure the Association gets what it pays for.

During expert review of the recent repaving work (first time in the 15 years since original construction) a section was found to be out of specification.

So the vendor was brought back to tear up the incorrect work

Once removed it will be replaced with a properly installed section and complete the repaving project.
