1/1/07 Happy New Year to everyone. On Wednesday January 3, 2007 the Clubhouse Lobby/Check In area will be closed until 2/1/07 for renovation and an all new look for 2007. Check in and out will be done in the Game Room area. Resort Personnel will be available to direct you to the temporary front desk location. Thank you for your co-operation during this update. 12/26/05 As 2006 begins we look forward to a busy year of construction at the resort. On 1/2/06 the replacement of the Clubhouse roof will begin with the residential buildings following soon after. Construction on the new Maintenance/Laundry/Storage building is scheduled to start around 3/1/06. Every effort will be made to accommodate owners and guests to minimize the impact of these important improvements. We welcome you to an even better Cypress Pointe Resort with more to come.

12/16/05 The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Association has successfully obtained a loan to fund the required roof replacements at the resort. This means that this work can be done in 2006 while avoiding the need for any type of special assessment to owners. The loan will allow the costs to be spread over 10 years while the owners get immediate benefits of the new roofs. The repayment will be handled through the reserve collections as presented in the last newsletter. Cypress Pointe will continue to have top notch maintenance. 10/25/05 The hurricane passed through FL and provided the resort with high winds and rain until 2PM 10/24/05. There seems to be no damage to the resort only minor cleanup work from downed leaves and branches. All outdoor amenities will be reopened for guest use today and tomorrow. Our thanks to the dedicated staff who prepared and kept the resort functioning during the storm.Our best wishes to all who went through it around Florida and other areas for a speedy recovery.

9/3/05 The Central & Southern areas of Florida, including Cypress Pointe, have been asked to conserve energy indefinitely due to the recent hurricanes in the area. All facilities, including the airport, remain open at this time. Cypress Pointe will comply with all official requests and urge guests to comply where possible. No reservations are changed and owners/guests that decide not to use existing reservations will not be able to change to future dates. Any questions or concerns should be directed to Central Reservations at (949) 859-2181Hours M-F 9AM-9PM Sat. 11:30AM-7PM

8/4/05 CLUB SUNTERRA MEMBERS: Please note that the dates listed for payments using your Sun Options are not applicable to Cypress Pointe. The last day to pay using Sun Options for 2006 is December 10, 2005. Payments made after that date by Sun Options may accrue late fees and interest. For all owners the 2006 fees will be billed on or about 10/1/05 due on receipt. Final date to pay without penalty is 12/31/05.

7/24/05 The average annual fee for 2006 was set at $684 at the budget meeting on 7/23/05.

7/14/05 Hurricane Dennis passed outside of Orlando and no evacuation was necessary. We have been getting rainfall far in excess of normal levels and more is predicted. REMEMBER: Budget meetings are scheduled for Friday 7/22 and Saturday 7/23/05 in the Clubhouse (location was changed from the mailing sent to owners).

9/25/04 IMPORTANT STORM UPDATE! As of this morning the Orlando area is again shutting down for a hurricane. The theme parks and airport, as well as most businesses, will be closing today at 5PM remaining closed all day Sunday. Anyone planning to arrive today or tomorrow should postpone those plans. 9/24/04 ANOTHER storm threatens. Guests have been warned to prepare. Meanwhile the renovation work resumes. See more photos of the progress.
